Wordpress and Your Scholarly Identity Profile In-Person

What does your work look like online? Because digital humanities scholarship and pedagogies have become prevalent, questions about online academic identities, openly accessible work, and changing digital expectations have significantly grown in importance. Whether you’re anticipating entering the job market or you’d like to bring a past project to new audiences, paying attention to your online scholarly profile may be to your advantage.

In this workshop, the second in a series of five organized by the Boston College Libraries' Digital Scholarship Group this autumn, participants will learn how to establish hubs for their online scholarly presences by hosting their own webpages, creating Wordpress sites, discovering models in other people’s professional websites, utilizing open access repositories, and attaching unique identifiers to their work with ORCID.

Please bring a laptop to get the most out of the session. This event is free, no previous experience with digital humanities is necessary for participation, and coffee will be on hand. Hope to see you there!
