Working with Historical Maps Online Online

Please note: This workshop will be recorded to share with those unable to make the time.

Have you ever wanted to work with historical maps but didn't know where to start? This workshop will highlight sources for finding historical maps online and will include a hands-on georectifying exercise in MapWarper before showing users how to export their map to platforms like GoogleEarth or ArcGIS Online. No previous knowledge is required, though it may be beneifical to set up a free account at https://mapwarper.net/ or https://arcgis.com or to download GoogleEarth, depending on your preferred platform (how to set up these accounts will also be discussed in the workshop).

Several example maps will be provided, or participants should feel free to bring their own!
