Introduction to 3D Modeling and Scanning Online
NOTE: This workshop will be asynchronous and will be released on this date. This meeting time will be for Matthew to give a brief introduction and answer any questions. He will also set up meetings later in the semester for any interested parties.
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the basics of how to create a 3D dimensional model using a camera or their phone. In the first half of the seminar we will look at examples of 3D models from a variety of contexts and the best practices for scanning or taking photographs for the creation of 3D models. In the second half, we will discuss the various software and applications available at BC and elsewhere for the creation and processing of 3D models.
